I've just been looking at some D-Day videos and photos, particularly of Gold Beach and Arromanches and I can't get my head around the fact that my grandad was there. To look at those pictures is like looking at something that wasn't real but I know that it was and I couldn't be any prouder of my grandad than I am or any more in awe of everything that he did and acheived xxx
